Hanz (moderator)

Hanz (born September 3, 1984 in Stuttgart ) is a German moderator, slam poet and author.

Act

Since 2008, Hanz has been a regular and successful participant in poetry slams in German-speaking countries with over 150 victories . In addition to numerous participations in national championships, he was able to win the runner-up title at the Baden-Württemberg state championships in 2010 (in Heidelberg ) and 2015 (in Konstanz ). With Alexander Willrich he formed the slam team Hanz N 'Roses, whose greatest success was the entry into the team semi-finals at the German-speaking Slam Championships 2011 in Hamburg . A collection of his texts called " It's best to sleep in strange beds " was published by Periplaneta- Verlag in 2011 with the accompanying audio book CD , as well as further publications in literary magazines and anthologies. In 2012 he directed the play "Slam Cabaret", premiered in Alma Hoppe's Lustspielhaus in Hamburg. The piece then went on a tour of Germany.

In numerous cities, primarily in Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate , Hanz acts as the organizer and moderator of poetry slams, including in Ludwigsburg , Aalen , Heidenheim , Landau , Marbach , Schwäbisch Gmünd , Singen and Ingelheim . In 2016, together with Thomas Geyer and Nikita Gorbunov, he formed the organizer trio of the twentieth German-speaking slam championships in Stuttgart. There, in addition to the opening gala , he also moderated the individual finals in the Beethovensaal of the Liederhalle , from which Philipp Scharrenberg emerged victorious. In 2017 he moderated the final of the Science Slam championships in Ulm . Hanz also runs PowerPoint karaoke events in various cities.

Hanz is a founding member of the reading stage " Evening Design for Advanced " in Aalen , Heidenheim and Ludwigsburg , where Tino Bomelino, Das Lumpenpack and Nektarios Vlacholpoulos also belong to the permanent ensemble.
