Harald Parigger
Harald Parigger (born September 9, 1953 in Flensburg) is a German historian and writer .
Life
Parigger grew up in Flensburg . He studied history , German and social studies at the University of Würzburg , where he received his doctorate in philosophy in 1981 with an edition of the Bamberg city law . Parigger did his legal clerkship in Bamberg and Coburg . He then worked as a research assistant at the Universities of Würzburg and Cologne . From 1984 to 1989 he worked as a teacher at high schools in Lichtenfels and Bayreuth . From 1989 to 1994 he was seconded to the House of Bavarian History in Augsburg , where he was involved in the development of numerous exhibitions. After returning to school in 1994, Parigger became a seminar teacher for German at the Maria-Theresia-Gymnasium in Munich. In 2000 he took over the management of the Grafing grammar school . From 2013 to 2019 Parigger was the head of the Bavarian State Center for Political Education in Munich .
Harald Parigger published alongside historical and educational works historical novels , detective stories , tales and Youth books . His novel Die Hexe von Zeil was named “Book of the Month” by the German Academy for Children's and Young Adult Literature .
