Harald Skorepa (* 1952 in Altenhundem ) is a German musician, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, psychotherapist and author .

Career

The early years

Harald Skorepa attended elementary school and high school in his hometown until he graduated from high school . His father was a pianist and gave him his first lessons from 1957. In 1965 and 1966 the organ , guitar and flute were added, and then the first rock groups followed. Various so-called beat masses with the group later named Soul Spirits took place in the church, followed by membership in the bands Shapes Of Things and New Changing Times with guitarist Martin Knaden, who later played with Curly Curve . In 1971 Harald Skorepa was on stage with the group Upperseption in the opening act for Golden Earring and Man . His call-up to the German Armed Forces led to the dissolution of the band.

The 1970s and 1980s

In 1972 Harald Skorepa went to Berlin to study psychology and played in various groups, including Os Mundi with Udo Arndt , who later became the producer of Spliff and Nena , and the Berlin Rock Ensemble with singer Klaus Lage and drummer Wolfgang Brock. After completing his psychology studies, Harald Skorepa took lessons from Professor Gustav Hansen in piano playing, harmony, composition theory and composition. This was followed by the establishment of an anti-drug rock program with the singer Rainer Tscheu, the publication of the first records, concerts and a lot of studio work. With the author Wolfgang Röhrer, among other things, Rock is no march music , a radio play against neo-fascism. In the new formation of the Berliner Rock Ensemble , which was now called Demenzia - Berliner Rock Ensemble , there was again a collaboration with Klaus Lage and Wolfgang Brock. He shared the creation of the song material with Klaus Lage. After Lages left the EMI in Cologne , he joined the Berlin group Goya , which from then on became Spotz! and won the rock competition of the Berlin Senate in 1982. This was followed by several publications and the conception of the group Fürst Pückler und die Eisheiligen . From 1986 Harald Skorepa worked primarily as a composer, lyricist, arranger and studio musician, with many publications in the rock, pop and hit field, including for Dorthe Kollo .

The 1990s until today

In 1993, after two years of work, the Berliner Sinfonie was released , a crossover project between classical and rock. In the same year he was involved for a short time in the cover band Schahö . The idea of ​​a comprehensive music lexicon was a consistent further development of the efforts to cope with the company's own extensive record, CD, video and tape collection from 1995 onwards. The 17th edition of the Ultimus music lexicon was published in 2016 and now has 2 million entries. From the beginning of 2005, Harald Skorepa was musically active again, in the group Rock 'n' Roll Alligators . With the comic artist, caricaturist and former drummer of the Team Beats Berlin group , Peter Butschkow , three book publications (music and caricature) were in the works at Schott-Verlag in Mainz, which appeared in autumn 2005, spring 2006 and autumn 2007. Another collaboration with guitarist Martin Knaden took place in autumn 2007. When Harald Skorepa's wife Elke became seriously ill in 2015, he ended his forty years of successful work as a psychotherapist. In 2013 he published his autobiography "Eintopf ohne Lid", the second edition of which appeared in 2018.
