Harris Salleh

Yang Berhormat Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Harris bin Mohd Salleh SPDK (born November 4, 1930 in Labuan ), was the sixth Prime Minister of Sabah Statein Malaysia and President of the Parti Berjaya party. His term of office lasted from 1976 to 1985. During his tenure, he was responsible for the controversial surrender of the island of Labuan, which previously belonged to Sabah, to the Malaysian federal government, which subsequently made Labuan the second federal territory of Malaysia.

The Islamic politician is married to Datin Rupiah Bachee Khan.
