Harumi Honda
Harumi Honda ( Japanese 本田 晴美 , Honda Harumi ; born November 12, 1963 in Misaki , Okayama Prefecture ) is a former Japanese track cyclist and world champion.
Harumi Honda became world champion in Keirin in 1987 at the Track Cycling World Championships in Vienna . He is the only Japanese who ever managed to become world champion in this originally Japanese sport. In 1989 he also took second place at the Winter Railway Championship in Ghent .
