Hattenhof is a district of the Neuhof community in the Fulda district in East Hesse .

Geographical location

Hattenhof is located in the western foothills of the Rhön around 4.3 km northeast of the center of Neuhof's core town. It is located on the little Fliede tributary Rehbach . The Fliede tributary Döllbach flows a little northeast past the village . State road 3430 and district road  72 intersect in the village .

history

The village was first mentioned in documents in 1457.

As part of the regional reform in Hesse , Hattenhof was incorporated into Neuhof by state law with effect from August 1, 1972.

religion

There is a Catholic parish church in Hattenhof , as the Catholics live in the majority. The current second church dates from 1892, while the steeple dates from 1519. Please refer

In Hattenhof there is a village community center and a daycare center , a primary school and the Catholic parish church of St. Cosmas and Damian (Hattenhof) . In addition, a Marian grotto and a church-sponsored cemetery . The war memorial is located on the church square in front of the church.
