The Fliede is a nominal 21.8 km (over Kemmete 25.5 km, over Döllbach 28.1 km) long, southwest and left tributary of the Fulda in the Hessian district of Fulda ( Germany ). Inflows of the lilac form the FFH area No. 5523-302 "Tributaries of the lilac" .

geography

course

The named lilac is created in the Fliedener Basin northwest of the Hessian ridge through the confluence of the source streams Kautzer Wasser (right) and Magdloser Wasser (left) in the center of Fliedens at an altitude of about 290  m above sea level. NHN . In the water stationing in Hesse by HLUG , the Hermann water , which according to popular opinion is a right tributary of the Kautzer water, is regarded as the main stream.

From the confluence, the Fliede flows in a north-easterly direction in the river valley of the same name through the communities of Neuhof (core community between the districts of Neustadt and Opperz and to the south-east past the districts of Dorfborn and Tiefengruben ) and Eichenzell (districts of Kerzell and Lassenrod ).

The Fliede finally flows into the Weser source river Fulda coming from the southeast at the Bronnzell district of Fulda at a height of 261  m .

Tributaries

Hermannswasser (4.7 km; 8.22 km²) and Kautzer Wasser (until then 4.8 km; 9.04 km²) unite as streams of roughly the same size. At the nominal origin of the lilac they are 6.4 km long over the Hermannswasser and 6.5 km over the Kautzer Wasser and have drained a catchment area of 32.88 km². The Magdlose Water is a little longer at 7.25 km, but with a catchment area of only 20.11 km² it should have less water.

The following lists the most important tributaries of the lilac relative to the stationing over the Hermannswasser:
