Hechendorf is a district of the city and rural community of Roßleben-Wiehe in Thuringia .

location

The location of Hechendorf is about 40 kilometers (as the crow flies ) east of the district town of Sondershausen and two kilometers north of the core town of Wiehe on the east side of the Hohe Schrecke ridge . In addition to the oldest farm in Thuringia, Hechendorf consists of the foundation estate (large house), the farm outbuildings and farm buildings for cattle and vehicle storage. At the beginning of the 9th century Hechendorf was mentioned in a document in a list of the goods of the Hersfeld Monastery built by Archbishop Lullus († 786) of Mainz . After its secularization in 1540, Hechendorf belonged as an exclave to the Electoral Saxon Office of Pforta from 1543 to 1815 .
