Heiko Krimmer

Heiko Krimmer (born December 2, 1943 in Berlin ; † November 21, 2015 in Owen ) was a German evangelical theologian , pastor of the Württemberg regional church and author of many books and biblical commentaries.

Live and act

Krimmer grew up as a native of Berlin in Ostfildern-Ruit . From 1966 to 1970 he studied Protestant theology in Tübingen , Hamburg and Heidelberg , after which he was vicar in Württemberg parishes. In 1973 he received his doctorate in Hamburg under Helmut Thielicke with his dissertation on empiricism and normativity. The ethics of Alexander von Oettingen (Moral Statistics, 3rd edition 1882) , which investigates the question of the scientific significance of moral statistics for social ethics. From 1973 to 1976 he was director of studies at the Albrecht Bengel House in Tübingen. Between 1976 and 1982 he worked as a parish priest in the parish in Holzgerlingen . From 1982 to 1987 he moved again to the Albrecht Bengel House as head of studies. From 1987 until his retirement in 2008 he was parish priest in Dettingen unter Teck , where he also volunteered in the "Haus an der Teck", at that time still the guest house of the Aidlinger sisters .

Between 1977 and 1998 Krimmer taught as a guest lecturer at the theological seminar of the Liebenzeller Mission , including the subject of ethics, and worked at the Free University of Mission , today's Academy for World Mission in Korntal. From 1990 to 1999 he was deputy chairman of the Ludwig Hofacker Association (today the Christ Movement “Living Congregation ), on the board of the Missionsbundes Licht im Osten and the Württemberg Christbundes . From 1977 to 1983 he was a member of the Württemberg regional synod and spokesman for the theological-conservative discussion group “Lebendige Gemeinde” . Between 1990 and 1999 he was deputy chairman of their sponsoring association. From 1973 until his death he was chairman of the “Nethanja Narsapur Children's Home - Christian Mission India e. V. “in the association of DEA . During this time he wrote several books about his experience, including in India.

He was characterized as an "extremely eloquent representative of his guild", who knew how to illustrate his sermons with many examples from practical life. Heiko Krimmer, who suffered from ALS , died on November 21, 2015 at the age of 71.

Private

Heiko Krimmer was married to Wiltrud. The couple had three children and retired from Owen in Baden-Württemberg .
