The facade is designed in the neo-renaissance style. Style elements of the Dutch Renaissance characterize the picture. The red brick is divided by elements made of sandstone . The arched portal and the arched windows on the ground floor show humpback ashlar . Plaster tapes run over the entire front. Three dwelling houses crown the building, they are designed as lavishly decorated volute gables .
The building originally served as the main cash desk building. Today it is used by offices of the city of Stralsund.
The house is located in the core area of the city area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 334.
