The Church of the Most Holy Trinity is a Roman Catholic parish church . It is in Kranlucken , a district of Schleid in the Wartburg district in Thuringia . The parish of the Holy Trinity, which has been independent since 1737, is part of the St. Elisabeth Pastoral Association in the Ulster, Felda and Werra valleys in the Hünfeld-Geisa deanery of the Fulda diocese .

The former church of St. Johannes Baptista was built in 1751–56. After a lightning strike on July 18, 1793, the church burned to the ground . Almost the entire place was destroyed in the fire . In 1796 the church was restored. The hall church, which is covered with a gable roof , is closed on three sides. A choir tower with a curved hood rises above the retracted choir . The facade is made of sandstone and structured with pilasters . The volute gable is crowned with a cross. On the sides are snails with a vase on them. Above the drilled rectangular portal is the coat of arms of the Fulda prince abbot Amand von Buseck , vertically above there are two round windows . At the side in wall niches are the statues of St. John Nepomuk and Boniface . The nave has four arched windows on each side . The interior of the nave has stepped pilasters and a surrounding cornice , the choir has bent pilasters at the corners. The ceiling has coves and is framed with stucco . The ceiling painting dates from the 19th century. The altars date from the time it was built. An altarpiece has pillars made of stucco marble. The high altar with a crucifix has almost life-size wooden statues of John of Nepomuk and Boniface on the side. In the excerpt there is a painting that depicts the Trinity. The side altars are simple, the altarpieces are copies from the 20th century. The pulpit was built around 1800. Other church furnishings include statues of Popes Gregory XI. and Zacharias , a Pietà from the 19th century, Fourteen Stations of the Cross from the mid-18th century and oil paintings in the Nazarene , the Wendelin and Elisabeth represent. The church was renovated in 1910. When the Kohlbach was flooded in 1913, the church was badly damaged, so it had to be renovated again.
