Heiner Boehncke
Heiner Boehncke (* 1944 in Schwarzenfels ) is a German author and literary scholar.
Life
After studying German , Romance studies and philosophy , Boehncke was a university professor for general and comparative literature in Frankfurt am Main and Bremen . He has been working as a freelancer at Radio Bremen since 1983. In 1988 he was head of public relations at Hessischer Rundfunk . From 1998 he became literary editor in the program area culture and science.
Boehncke was the “coach” of the Pfungstadt cultural award project “Pfungstadt writes a book”. He is involved in literary and writing initiatives. Boehncke is the author of publications a. a. on the history of literature and the history of the robbery . In 2004, Cornelsen-Scriptor published his textbooks "Creative Writing for 3rd and 4th Class" and "... for 5th to 8th Class".
He is also the author of a presentation of the French group of writers Oulipo and their writing methods, which is unique in the German-speaking region . The book was published by manholt-Verlag. Since 2003 Heiner Boehncke has been working with some writers to establish a German section of Oulipo.
Until 2010 he was the spokesman for the Hessischer Literaturrat e. V. , which is intended to "make the rich literary tradition of Hesse a broader public and thus contribute to the cultural identity of the state."
Since 2004 he has been organizing the Rheingau Literature Festival as "Artistic Director" , which is overseen by the Rheingau Music Festival .
In 2006 Heiner Boehncke became the official ambassador of the Schauenburger Märchenwache in Breitenbach near Kassel.
In 2006 Boehncke founded the “Literaturbetrieb eV”, together with 30 students from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , which organizes and conducts excursions and literary events.
In addition to teaching at Frankfurt University, Boehncke also taught at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig .
Heiner Boehncke is a member of the PEN Center Germany .
He lives in Ortenberg on the edge of the Vogelsberg .
Award
On September 30, 2012, he was awarded the Goethe plaque , the highest distinction of the Hessian Ministry for Science and Art, for the “decisive influence on the cultural and literary scene in Hessen” .
