Baron Heinrich Capler von Oedheim called Bautz , full name: Heinrich Friedrich Karl Capler von Oedheim called Bautz (born April 26, 1835 in Oedheim Castle ; † May 25, 1914 at Brandenberg Castle near Illertissen ) was a manor owner based in the Kingdom of Württemberg and from 1889 to 1895 member of the Württemberg state parliament .

ancestry

Heinrich Capler von Oedheim came from the old Frankish imperial knight family Capler von Oedheim . He was the son of Gustav Wolfgang Freiherr von Capler (1803–1868) and Therese Eleonore von Bühler (1812–1898). His younger brother Hermann Wolfgang von Capler (1838–1886) was a royal Württemberg major and commander of Uhlan Regiment No. 19 .

Life

After graduating from high school in Ulm in 1854, Heinrich Capler von Oedheim first studied law and history at the University of Tübingen before going to the Agricultural University in Hohenheim from 1859 to 1862 . He then did an internship at the Lautenbach , Assumstadt and Sulzhof estates. After the death of his father, Capler owned a manor in Oedheim , Willenbach and Kochendorf in the Upper Office of Neckarsulm . In 1879 he moved from the Kochendorf manor to a villa he had bought himself in Cannstatt . In June 1886 he bought Lehen Castle and the goods in Kochendorf from his mother-in-law Baroness Valeska von Breuning (1806–1890). In the electoral period from 1889 to 1895, Capler von Oedheim was a member of the second chamber of the Württemberg estates as a representative of the knighthood of the Neckar district . He was also an honorary knight of the Order of St. John . Under the pseudonym Heinrich von Oedheim he published a bouquet of French song poetry in 1887 .

family

Heinrich Capler von Oedheim was a Protestant and married twice. With his first wife Martha Freiin von Breuning (1846–1874), who was married in 1866, he had three daughters Hildegard (1867–1905). with Reinhard von Gemmingen (1859–1909), Else (1869–1944) married. with Heinrich Freiherr Röder von Diersburg (1863–1909), Gertrud (1872–1962) married. with Max von Gemmingen (1868–1949) and their son Hans Wolfgang (1870–1917). After the death of his first wife, Heinrich Capler married their sister Camilla Freiin von Breuning (1835–1917) in 1875, who became the mother of his second son Dietrich (1876–1967). This second son was the last agnate of the knight family, which died out with him in 1967 in the male line.
