Heinrich Friedrich von Bruiningk

Heinrich Friedrich Justin von Bruiningk (born December 29, 1773 in Zeist ; † March 19, 1850 in Landeshut , province of Silesia ) was a German-Baltic economist , theologian and leading member of the Moravian Brethren .

Life

He received his initial theological training at the pedagogy and theological seminary in Niesky and Barby . Then he worked as a teacher. In 1795 he began studying administrative science in Leipzig and switched to the ducal economy in Wörlitz the following year . As a landowner at Nimptsch , he gained economic experience from 1801 to 1805. Then he sold his property and from 1806 entered the service of the Anhalt-Dessau Duchess Louise in Wörlitz. He then decided to take up spiritual activity and in 1814 became a preacher in the Protestant community of Reichenstein . In 1819 he was ordained a deacon and 3rd preacher in Landeshut in Silesia. 1831 he advanced to senior ministerii and from 1839 was chief pastor .

Origin and family

Heinrich Friedrich was the son of the bishop of the Moravian Brethren Heinrich von Bruiningk (1738–1785), whose family grew out of the German-Baltic aristocratic Bruiningk family . Heinrich was also prepared for church service in Barby. In 1782 he was ordained bishop of the Brethren.
