Heinrich Joachim von der Schulenburg (born February 11, 1610 in Lieberose , † October 2, 1665 in Lübben ) was the last governor of Lower Lusatia .

Life

Heinrich Joachim was a member of the Black Line of the Brandenburg noble family von der Schulenburg . He was the only son of the Saxon upper chamber mr and Erbherrn in Lieberose, Joachim VII. Von der Schulenburg (1574-1619) and Sidonia von Kittlitz .

Schulenburg completed his studies at the universities in Frankfurt , Leipzig and Strasbourg . Subsequently, in the years 1627 to 1630, he undertook his cavalier tour of Europe. After her death, Schulenburg married Countess Eleonore Magdalene von Solms (1632–1669), the sister of Sophie Marie von Brandenburg-Kulmbach (1626–1688), in 1651 .

From 1654 to 1665 he was the last bailiff of Niederlausitz. After his death, the Landvogtei was replaced in 1666 by an upper office government consisting of a president and four councilors.

Already in 1622 Schulenburg hereditary lord on was Lambsfeld , which he later than 1665 with Lieberose to primogeniture united.
