Heinrich Otto von Brackel

Heinrich Otto von Brackel († November 1, 1713 in Nykarleby ) was a royal Swedish major general .

He was a member of the Baltic noble family Brackel . His parents were the founder of the Swedish and Finnish line of the family, Colonel and Vice-Commander of Narva Georg Anton von Brackel (* 1627– † 1686) and Catharina Vellingk († after 1699).

In 1674 Brackel was sergeant in the Kronobergs Regiment, in 1676 ensign in the Marienregiment and in 1679, still in the rank of ensign in the Tavastehus Regiment, where he was promoted to lieutenant the same year . In 1689 Brackel was promoted to lieutenant captain and in the same year was captain in the garrison regiment in Stade . There he advanced to major in 1700 and lieutenant colonel in 1705 . In 1710 Brackel was transferred as a colonel to the Ingermanland Dragoon Regiment. In 1713 he took his leave with the rank of major general.

Heinrich Otto von Brackel was the heir to the farm and village of Kochtel with the associated village of Oddris in the parish of Jewe , as well as on half of the farm and village of Aitz in the parish of Luggenhusen .

He was married to his cousin Anna Gertrud Vellingk († 1710). The marriage resulted in two sons and a daughter.
