Attractions
Vassal castle Purtse
The vassal castle of Purtse (German Alt-Isenhof ) is particularly worth seeing . It was probably built between 1533 and 1565. After extensive renovation work, it now shines again in its old splendor. The building represents the oldest construction period of Estonian manor house architecture. Today the castle houses exhibition rooms and event halls.
Church of St. Johannis zu Lüganuse
The St. John's Church in the main town of Lüganuse dates from the 14th century. The Lüganuse parish has been linked by a partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran parishes of Schwesing and Viöl in Schleswig-Holstein since 1994 .
