Mustmätta is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Lüganuse ( Luganuse vald ). It is located in Ida-Viru County ( East Wierland ) in northeast Estonia .

The village has 26 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012).

Artifacts from the older iron age were uncovered near Mustmätta in 1940 .

Personalities

The most famous son of the place is the Estonian violinist Robert Peenemaa (1903–49), who was born in Mustmätta. From 1941 until his untimely death in 1949 he lived in his home village.
