Heinrich Reichold

Wilhelm Heinrich Reichold (born July 18, 1930 in Mudau , † October 2, 1979 in Regensburg ) was a German trade unionist and politician ( CSU ).

Life

After attending the humanistic grammar school, Reichold completed training in construction engineering and administration from 1949 to 1951. He then worked as an employee in the private sector. In 1959 he switched to the service of the Federal Armed Forces administration , three years later attended advanced training courses at the Federal Armed Forces College in Mannheim and then worked as a district administrator and deputy branch manager and as chairman of the general staff council at the Bundeswehr site administration in Cham . In addition, he was the district staff council at the Military District Administration VI in Munich and from 1966 to 1969 a member of the main staff council in the Federal Ministry of Defense .

Reichold had been a member of the Public Service Union (GÖD) in the Christian Trade Union Confederation (CGB) since 1959 . His trade union functions were local cartel chairman and district chairman of the CGB as well as state chairman Bavaria and federal chairman of the GÖD in the CGB. He was also chairman of the German Family Association for the Upper Palatinate district.

Reichold joined the CSU in 1959. Within the party, he held positions as local, district and district chairman, was a member of the state executive committee and was the deputy state chairman of the Christian Social Workers .

In 1966 he was elected to the city council of Roding , where he worked as an economic representative from 1978. On December 4, 1978 Reichold succeeded Franz Josef Strauss , who had previously been elected Prime Minister of Bavaria, to the German Bundestag and remained a member there until his sudden death on October 2, 1979. In parliament he was a member of the Committee for Youth, Family and health. After his death, Ursula Männle replaced him in the Bundestag.

His son, Franz Reichold, was elected mayor of Roding in 1996.
