Heinrich Theodor von Hallberg (born September 23, 1725 in Düsseldorf , † October 18, 1792 in Vienna ) was an imperial count as well as an Electoral Palatinate and Electoral Palatinate-Bavarian diplomat from the Hallberg family .

He was born as the son of the Electoral Palatinate Privy Councilor Bernhard Heinrich von Hallberg († 1737) and his wife Maria Anna Jakobine, b. Born by Holtzweiler. The father was a brother of the Electoral Palatinate court chancellor and conference minister Jakob Tillmann von Hallberg († 1744) and was ennobled with this in 1721 as " Edler von".

The explorer and writer Theodor von Hallberg-Broich (1768–1862), known as the "Eremit von Gauting " , was his cousin's son.

Life

Emperor Franz I accepted Heinrich Theodor von Hallberg as a baron in 1751 . Two years later he married Henriette Helene von Hoesch, whose father Matthias Gerhard Hoesch had a great influence as a very wealthy coal and steel entrepreneur and diplomat. Soon afterwards Hallberg advanced to the position of authorized minister (envoy) of the Electoral Palatinate in Warsaw and Dresden ; after 1777 in Vienna.

In 1788, after the death of his cousin Johann Bernhard Franz von Hallberg, he came into the possession of the family estates in Fußgönheim , including the castle there , as well as in Roxheim , Heuchelheim , Oggersheim , Ruchheim , Mommenheim and Bechtolsheim . With the death of his father-in-law, he inherited Pesch Castle near Meerbusch at the same time .

Heinrich Theodor von Hallberg was a Palatinate-Bavarian privy councilor , senior bailiff in Oppenheim and imperial postmaster in Düsseldorf. He wore the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Palatinate Lion and the Polish Order of St. Stanislaus .

Heinrich Theodor von Hallberg was married to Henrietta Helena von Hoesch, the daughter of Matthias Gerhard von Hoesch . His daughter Lucia Maria von Hallberg (1765–1823) married the imperial count Anton Anselm Capellini von Wickenburg (1750–1813), the Palatinate-Bavarian envoy in St. Petersburg and Vienna. The Austrian minister Matthias Constantin Capello von Wickenburg (1797-1880) was one of the children of this connection .

Elector Karl Theodor elevated Heinrich Theodor von Hallberg to the status of hereditary imperial count on June 23, 1792, during the time of the imperial vicariate .
