Heinrich Zwitzers

Heinrich Herbert Zwitzers (born March 28, 1873 in Nordhorn ; † July 20, 1947 in Bückeburg ) was a German lawyer and politician ( DVP ).

Life

After attending the rector's school in Nordhorn and graduating from high school in Emden , Zwitzers studied law at the universities in Tübingen , Berlin and Göttingen . In 1895 he passed the first state examination in Celle and 1896 he was at the University of Gottingen to doctor of law doctorate . Following his state examination, he completed his legal clerkship at the Bentheim District Court , the Stade District Court , the Osnabrück Public Prosecutor's Office , the Neuenhaus District Court and the Celle Higher Regional Court as well as at a law firm in Hanover . After taking the Second State Examination in 1900, he worked as a judicial assessor at the Neuenhaus District Court. From 1902 he was a substitute judge in Ahlden , Burgwedel and Uchte .

Zwitzers switched from the Prussian to the schaumburg-Lippe judicial service and initially worked at the Stadthagen district court . In July 1904 he became an assistant judge at the Bückeburg district court and had been a district judge there since 1905. In 1912 he was appointed regional judge. During the First World War , in which he had participated from 1914 to 1918, he worked as a court officer. In 1919 he retired from military service.

Afterwards, Zwitzers worked again as a judge at the Bückeburg regional court, from 1921 as regional court director. From 1925 until his retirement he was president of the regional court.

Zwitzers joined the DVP after 1918 and was elected to the state parliament of the Free State of Schaumburg-Lippe in 1919 . From February 16, 1919 to April 23, 1923 he was President of the State Parliament. After his appointment to the state government on December 20, 1923, he had to resign from the state parliament. He was a member of the state government until May 28, 1925.
