Heinrich von Brauchitsch

Heinrich von Brauchitsch (born July 22, 1831 in Berlin , † July 26, 1916 in Görlitz ) was a German administrative lawyer and judge in the Kingdom of Prussia . He sat in the Reichstag (North German Confederation) .

Life

Heinrich was the son of the Prussian Senior Justice Adolf von Brauchitsch (1800–1876) and his wife Emilie, née von Braunschweig (1809–1866). He passed his exam as a court assessor in 1858 and became a district judge in Demmin in 1861 . In 1863 he became district administrator of the Jerichow II district in Genthin .

From 1866 to 1868 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1867 to 1871 he was for the constituency Magdeburg 3 ( Jerichow I , Jerichow II ) and the Conservative Party a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation . In this capacity he was also a member of the Customs Parliament from 1868 .

During the Franco-Prussian War he was prefect of the Seine et Oise department in Versailles and commissioner in the Crown Prince's army. After the establishment of the German Empire, he was Vice President in the Potsdam administrative region until 1876 and then in the Kassel administrative region until 1884 . Then he was the district president in Erfurt until 1898 .

Brauchitsch had married Elisabeth von Roon (1842-1908), a daughter of Field Marshal Albrecht von Roon , on June 10, 1868 . The children Elisabeth (* 1869), Freda (* 1873), Siegfried (* 1874) and Albrecht (1877–1890) emerged from the marriage.
