Heinz Burghart

Heinz Burghart (born December 29, 1925 in Fürth ; † September 15, 2009 in Munich ) was a German journalist and book author . From 1987 until his retirement in 1990, Burghart was editor-in-chief of Bayerischer Rundfunk . He was also the founder and honorary president of the Bavarian Academy for Television .

Life

Burghart began his career as a journalist with Münchner Merkur . In 1964 he switched to Bayerischer Rundfunk. Burghart was among other things editor-in-chief of the Abendschau and from 1987 to 1990 editor-in-chief of Bavarian television. He also moderated the studio part of the BR program Jetzt red i from 1971 to 1990 . He was also a lecturer at the Bavarian Academy for Television, at the German School of Journalism and at the Munich University for Television and Film . In 1991 he became a member of the synod of the EKD and in 1993 he founded the Bavarian Academy for Television .
