Heinz Lechmann
Heinz-Günter Lechmann (born June 26, 1920 in Schwientochlowitz , † January 21, 2007 in Bonn-Bad Godesberg ) was a German lawyer and politician of the CSU .
Life
Heinz Lechmann graduated from high school in Neisse in 1939 and then began studying law, which he had to interrupt due to his participation in the Second World War . After the end of the war he fled to West Germany as a displaced person and settled in Bavaria. In 1946 he continued his studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , which he graduated with the first state examination in 1948 and the second state examination in 1951. Since 1950 he was a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Tuiskonia Munich. In 1952 he became a doctor of law doctorate (PhD thesis: .. Lechmann was managing director of the CSU-affiliated economic advisory board of the Union. He was elected to the CSU's state executive committee in 1954 and acted as the party's acting general secretary from October 25, 1954 to January 1955 .
In February 1956, Lechmann entered the service of the Federal Ministry for Atomic Affairs and from 1956 to 1959 held the post of managing director of the German Atomic Energy Commission . From 1959 until his retirement in 1985 he worked as a consultant in the Federal Ministry for Scientific Research , from 1972 Federal Ministry for Research and Technology, most recently as Ministerialrat. In 1964 he became head of the information and documentation department.
