Heinz Ockermüller

Heinz Ockermüller (born January 23, 1921 in Wiener Neustadt ; † May 14, 1994 in Vienna ) was an Austrian set designer and film architect .

Live and act

Ockermüller received his professional training at the Academy of Fine Arts (degree: Magister). In the early 1950s he made contact with theater and film. Ockermüller was employed as a set designer at venues both in Vienna ( Neues Theater in der Scala ) and in the provinces ( Burgenland State Theater in Eisenstadt ).

He only worked in film for ten years. Initially active alongside his colleague Sepp Rothauer , from 1956 Heinz Ockermüller regularly implemented the designs of his colleague Fritz Mögle . His last important work was the setting for Rolf Thiele's Lulu adaptation.

Ockermüller was buried in the Ottakring cemetery 13 days after his death .
