Heinz Pollak

Heinz Pollak (born May 30, 1913 in Kremsmünster , Upper Austria ; † August 19, 1974 in Vienna ) was an Austrian film production manager and production manager for domestic and German entertainment films .

Live and act

Pollak had attended a mechanical engineering college and completed an apprenticeship in electrical engineering. He gained his first experience in the cinema industry as a projectionist. Pollak spent his military service as a photo reporter.

After returning from captivity in 1947, Pollak began his post-war work as head of distribution for Bergland-Film. In 1951 he started working as a production manager. Heinz Pollak began working regularly for the director Franz Antel in this role until 1963 . Then he found employment in the German film industry.

The productions supervised by Pollak are consistently simple entertainment films, especially comedies and homeland films.
