action

The residents of Summering and Schellenberg are fighting over the Sauwald, which lies between the two communities. After the forest belonged to the municipality of Summering for centuries, it has now been judged to be awarded to Schellenberg. The dispute escalates when the Summeringers claim that the neighbors are driving the thunderstorms with the church bells. In this bell war in Summering, the church bells are exchanged for cow bells.

The Summeringer girls are forbidden to meet with Schellenberger boys. Finally, the Schellenberg bachelors and the Summeringer girls rebel. Only love and the local priest can still resolve the conflict.

Reviews

"Regrettably primitive vacillation, tasteless, without better humor and with hurtful inclusion of religious props."
