Hermann Heinz Wille

Hermann Heinz Wille (born June 1, 1923 in Chemnitz ; † March 7, 2002 in Limbach-Oberfrohna ) was a German writer .

Career

After attending primary school, Hermann Heinz Wille learned the metalworking trade and qualified as a designer in evening school . He began his writing career after World War II with topics about reconstruction . In 1947 he became editor of the youth radio station in Leipzig and in 1948 director of the adult education center. From 1950 he worked full-time as a writer.

He published a number of landscape books as well as popular scientific works such as "The Wonder World of Water", "Under the Spell of the White Magnet" or "The Golden Wave". His books have been translated into Bulgarian, Czech, Slovak, Polish, Estonian, Russian and Hungarian. Wille became known with his novel "The Green Rebel", in which he told the life of the Erzgebirge poacher Karl Stülpner .

In September 2010, his widow Gudrun signed an agreement with the town of Burgstädt , where Willes had lived from 1955 to 1992, according to which she bequeathed the work library, which comprises around 1,000 volumes, as a gift after her death.
