Hermann Röhn
Hermann Gustav Philip Röhn (born December 21, 1902 in Heidelberg ; † August 14, 1946 in Fort Ney north of Strasbourg ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).
Life
After attending elementary school , high school and commercial school , Röhn completed a commercial apprenticeship from 1920 to 1922. From October 25, 1922 to December 31, 1924 he was a member of the 21st Infantry Regiment of the Reichswehr . He initially earned his living as an insurance officer; from 1925 to 1933 he worked in his parents' tin foundry.
In May 1922, Röhn joined the local NSDAP group in Mannheim . After the NSDAP ban, he rejoined the party in 1926 ( membership number 30.307) and built the NSDAP in Heidelberg. At the same time he was the leader of the Sturmabteilung (SA) there until 1929 , which was initially organized as a Schlageter Bund . 1929 Röhn became NSDAP managing director for Heidelberg; from 1931 he was the district leader there. From 1930 to 1933 he was a member of the Heidelberg City Council.
After the transfer of power to the National Socialists, Röhn was a member of the Baden state parliament until it was dissolved in 1933 . He then sat from November 1933 until the end of Nazi rule in spring 1945 as a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 32 (Baden) . In the spring of 1933 he became the head of the Gauleitung in Baden in the NSDAP. From 1934 he was deputy Gauleiter of Gaus Baden , to which Alsace was also attached after the occupation of France from 1940 .
After the Second World War , Röhn was brought before a French court martial in Strasbourg in April 1946 because of his involvement in the German policy of Germanization in Alsace . This sentenced on May 3, 1946, together with Robert Wagner , Walter Gädeke and Adolf Schuppel death . Like the other defendants, Röhn was shot dead on August 14, 1946 in Fort Ney near Belfort after an unsuccessful appeal .
