Hermann von Schöning

Hermann Richard Gustav von Schöning (born August 7, 1825 in Krüssow , Pyritz district ; † April 9, 1898 in Lübenow , Pyritz district) was the owner of the majorate and a member of the German Reichstag .

Hermann was a member of the Pomeranian noble family of the Lords of Schöning . He was a son of Ernst Richard von Schöning (1799–1872) and his wife Henriette Caroline Auguste, née von Petersdorff (1795–1865).

Life

Schöning attended grammar school in Stargard and joined the Prussian army in 1844 , where he made it to prime lieutenant in the 4th Uhlan Regiment in 1852 . In 1852 he took over his father's estate in Tolz and later came in Lehnsgange in the possession of Lübtow . After the fiefdom was abolished, he converted it into a majorate.

He was head of office and a member of the district council. Between 1870 and 1873 and again from 1882 to 1898 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , since 1884 a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Stettin 5 Pyritz , Saatzig and the German Conservative Party . Both mandates ended with his death.

On the history of his family, he published in Merseburg in 1891 the supplements to the history of the von Schöning family published by Kurd Wolfgang von Schöning in 1839 .

He married Luise Christiane Franziska Wilhelmine von Schöning (1823–1888) on August 7, 1848. The couple had several children:
