The manor house Natzungen (also called Schloss Natzungen ) is a listed , former country nobility seat in Natzungen , a district of Borgentreich in the Höxter district , North Rhine-Westphalia .

history

The Lords of Natzungen were first mentioned in the middle of the 12th century as the Ministeriale of Corvey Monastery . They appear up to the beginning of the 15th century as castle men of Borgholz Castle. This was followed by the von Richter families and, in the first half of the 16th century, the von Derenthal families. In 1728 Haus Natzungen then belonged to the von Sieghardt family. The current baroque building was built in 1728 by order of Freiherr Leopold von Sieghardt and Anna Justina von Boggen.

Baron Ignaz von Post bought the manor house in a foreclosure auction around 1840. In 1854 the Count of Westphalen zu Fürstenberg bought it . In the Third Reich , the building was used as a country year camp, after the Second World War it served as a residence for refugees. Haus Natzungen has been owned by the Müller-Deisig family since 1954.
