Gut Dalheim is a former manor in Dalheim near Warburg . The castle-like mansion , built in 1698 , is a listed building .

history

The estate owned by the von Spiegel zum Desenberg family was managed by Hinrich Algadessen around 1400. After his resignation in 1427, the priest Henryk von Steynheim and his brothers Johan and Borchard were enfeoffed with the estate. During the Thirty Years War it fell back to the von Spiegel zum Desenberg family. Hermann Wilhelm von Spiegel zum Desenberg had the still existing two-story manor house built in 1698. In 1928 the von Spiegel family sold the estate to the von Vittinghoff- Schell family, who initially leased it to a Reinking family. The company has been owned by the Albersmeier family since 1961. Grain and rapeseed are grown on 117 hectares of agricultural land. 30 hectares of grassland are used for grazing and the production of forage. The family is also dedicated to horse breeding.

building

The elongated mansion has a high basement and two storeys. Above is a simple gable roof with bat dormers. The richly decorated baroque portal in the middle is accessed by a double flight of sandstone stairs. The two coats of arms above the portal show three mirrors and three plowshares. The wall anchors on the facade reflect the initials of the owner and the year of construction: HWSZD 1 6 9 8. Inside, parts of the baroque furnishings are still preserved, including over- portals , paintings of the ancestors of those von Spiegel, ornate stucco beam ceilings , wall paneling and a cast-iron stove.

To the south in front of the main building there are two symmetrically arranged cavalier houses with half-timbered upper floors. They are connected by a cover grille. The garden is behind it. To the north of the main building is a farm yard, which is bordered by farm buildings from the 19th century.
