The Heuberg landscape protection area is a protected landscape area (LSG number 4.16.013) that was designated by the Lower Nature Conservation Authority at the Tübingen District Office of August 8, 1969 .

Location and description

Heuberg, view to the southwest

The protected area is around two kilometers northwest of Rottenburg . It belongs to the natural area 122- Obere Gäue . On the 483.5  m above sea level. NN high Heuberg is the Heuberger Warte .

Protection purpose

The striking Zeugenberg of the Keuper is to be protected from building. The Heuberg, together with the Pfaffenberg located around three kilometers to the northeast, testifies that the edge of the Keuperstufe once ran further west.
