Help, a virgin loves me is a Franco-German erotic comedy from 1969 by Arthur Maria Rabenalt .

action

France, mid-18th century: Armand César Graf von Nantel is a serious hunter and womanizer as he is in the book. Hardly a pretty young girl he likes has left out in his dance through the beds of the nation. But his life as a woman happier and bon vivant has left its mark, financially too. He is broke, and with it his whole family. His outstanding debts are an impressive 80,000 louis dor , and an arrest warrant has already been issued for him. The bustling Monsieur Dalfour, who traveled personally and is the owner of Armand's bills, would like to see this implemented because the debtor has not yet dreamed of settling the debt. But the Count Don Juan prefers to continue his amorous escapades and even has sex with one of his playmates in the middle of the soundboard of a grand piano. In order to escape the creditors, Armand decides to flee to his grandmother's country palace.

The old lady is no longer ready to watch Armand's lottery goings-on and is therefore planning to arrange a highly lucrative marriage for him. The chosen one is the pretty and still very young Amélie, who is a banker's daughter, and thus a really good match. Armand is anything but enthusiastic about this idea at first, especially since on the way to see his grandmother he met a young, pretty girl in the company of a rather lustful marquise, a kind of chaperon. He likes the young woman exceptionally well. Armand even begins to fall in love with her while staying together in a country inn and henceforth to ignore all other women. The surprise is all the greater for him when he finally meets the chosen bride Amélie: She is the young woman he fell in love with. Now he doesn't mind saying “yes” to an arranged money marriage and killing two birds with one stone. But the police are now on their heels, too, and since Amélie saw Armand having sex with other women, she is full of doubts whether he could be the right one. There is still a lot that Armand must do to make his love believable in the sincerity of his will for purification.

Production notes

Help, I love a virgin was filmed in 1969, passed the FSK exam on January 29, 1970 and was premiered on May 15, 1970.

Walter Boos assisted the veteran director Rabenalt, whose third from last film this was. Peter Rothe created the film architecture. Several well-built young artists such as the blonde debutante Elisabeth Felchner and her equally blonde French colleague Veronique Vendell, wife of the Jungfrau producer Wolf C. Hartwig, appear completely naked in front of the camera in several scenes.

Reviews

"A slapstick disguised as a costume film, the operetta kitsch, cloak and sword piece, clumsy mix-up comedy and a little fake erotic brews into a bland infusion."

“A harmless French costume swing was only used here as a hook for exposure and filthy dialogues. Unnecessary."
