Hilperhausen at sunrise

Hilperhausen is a part of the market town of Niederaula in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district in East Hesse . It is located east of the main town in the Waldhessen region .

The place was first mentioned in 1185 as Hildeburghusen . Other place names were Hilbirgshusen and Hilbirhusen .

In the course of the regional reform in Hesse , Hilperhausen was integrated into the neighboring municipality of Kerspenhausen on December 1, 1970 on a voluntary basis . She came to Niederaula on August 1, 1972.

In 1978 the fire station, built in 1963, was increased so that a village community center was created.

In addition to a children's playground, there is also a football field . State road 3431 runs through the village. In 1998, the through-road was renewed.

Regionalverkehr Kurhessen GmbH ensures bus traffic .
