Kleba is the northernmost part of the market town of Niederaula in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district in eastern Hesse . It is located northwest of the main town in the Waldhessen region .

The place is mentioned for the first time in 1361. At that time the village was called Zu Cleben . It was not until the 15th century that the place name developed into today's Kleba.

On December 31, 1971 Kleba was incorporated into the Niederaula community.

Regionalverkehr Kurhessen GmbH ensures bus traffic . There is a village community center in the village .

The 880 m long Aula viaduct runs near the district .

On August 22, 1977 at around 3 p.m. the village was hit by a dam break in the dam on Lake Ibrasee . The flood content of 500,000 m³ of water poured through the valley in a tidal wave up to three meters high.
