history
The first written mention of Hlinné was in 1482 in the land register of the Cistercian monastery Saar . The submissive village at that time consisted of two half-hunters and eleven quarter-hunters. In Hlinné there was a monastery court, which was sold to the judge from Jiříkovice in 1482. Between Hlinné and Jámy , the stately Jamner pond was built in 1500 on the shoemaker's piece on 50 bushels. In 1513 the judicial property flooded by the pond was measured. On February 20, 1620, the earthquake was felt in Hlinné, which shook the area of Jihlava , Velké Meziříčí and Žďár nad Sázavou . The subsequent strong cold spell and a phenomenon in which the sun shone three times caused panic among the residents. Hlinné was an agricultural village in which the flax cultivation dominated. In the course of the Josephine reforms between 1780 and 1790, after serfdom was abolished, flax kilns were laid on the farms, in which the flax was dried during the winter months and then processed.
After the abolition of patrimonial Hlinný formed a community in the Neustadtl district from 1850. In 1869 the village had 308 inhabitants. In 1893 the volunteer fire brigade Hlinné was founded. In 1910 there were 264 people in Hlinné. After the dissolution of the Okres Nové Město na Moravě, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou in 1949 . In 1980 it was incorporated into Nové Město na Moravě . In 1991 the place had 62 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 54 houses in which 95 people lived. Today Hlinné consists of 64 houses.
