Reviews
“An autobiographical film that surely masters the tightrope walk between joy and sadness, drama and comedy; at the same time a loving, excellently photographed chronicle that offers excellent entertainment. "
“A cheerful, contemplative comedy in which master director John Boorman ('The Emerald Forest') tells of his childhood during the war with a loving look. This perfectly staged stroke of luck from a film knows how to merge the dramatic and the comic inimitable. Awarded the 'Golden Globe' and nominated for five 'Oscars'. "
