The Hollweger Moor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon city of Westerstede in the Ammerland district .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG WE 211 is 91 hectares in size. It is located northwest of Westerstede and consists of uncultivated raised bog , heathland and wet grassland . The grassland is used for agriculture and serves as a buffer zone against the predominantly intensively cultivated agricultural areas surrounding the nature reserve . The raised bog can regenerate itself in the core area of the protected area.
The moor area is drained to the Augustfehn Canal, which flows into the Aper Tief at Augustfehn .
The area has been a nature reserve since December 21, 1991. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Ammerland.
