Homosexuality is forbidden between men in Uzbekistan . According to Article 120 of the Uzbek Criminal Code, voluntary sexual intercourse between men can be punished with a prison sentence of up to three years. Female homosexuality is not prohibited and allowed by the Uzbek criminal law.

Anti-discrimination laws

There is no statutory protection against discrimination based on sexual orientation . In its latest assessment of the human rights situation in Uzbekistan, the UN Human Rights Council stated that there are no efforts within Uzbek politics to decriminalize homosexuality among men in the near future.
