P 50 from 1967

The P 50 was a moped the company Honda with a four-stroke engine and is made from the 1966th

technology

The engine with overhead camshaft was built into the rear wheel. It developed 0.8 hp and helped the vehicle to reach almost 25 km / h. The P 50 was very quiet and cultivated in operation, but too weak for the young target group around 1970. The power transmission could be decoupled so that a pure bicycle operation was possible. In contrast to some of the previous models, the frame no longer came from the bike, was much stronger and had front suspension and a large luggage rack.

In other European countries the P50 was also available as a 45 km / h version. In Holland the P50 had 1.2 hp at 4800 rpm.

The engine was adapted to the higher load by gears in the transmission instead of chains. In the USA, the P50 was equipped with a complete turn signal system. It was powered by an additional battery that was mounted on the right under the tank.
