Horst Raecke (* July 20, 1906 in Itzehoe ; † September 18, 1941 in Crete ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ) as well as SA and SS leaders.

Live and act

After attending the elementary school in Blankenese near Altona and the secondary school in Itzehoe, Raecke studied geology in Göttingen , Zurich and Munich from 1925 to 1931 . On February 23, earned his doctorate he in Goettingen Dr. phil.

In April 1925, Raecke joined the Sturmabteilung (SA). In the following years he took on duties as SA, Hitler Youth and SS leaders in Itzehoe, Göttingen and Munich. On August 1, 1930 he was appointed second adjutant to the Supreme SA Leader North in Hanover Viktor Lutze . Later he acted as a standard leader in Nienburg an der Weser , Hildesheim , Bremerhaven and SA-Brigadführer in Bremen .

From January 30, 1935 to October 1, 1936, Raecke was also the State Councilor of Bremen as an SA representative . On December 1, 1936, he was appointed head of office and on November 1, 1937, head of the main office of the SA leadership in Munich .

From March 1936 until his death in September 1941 Raecke was also a member of the National Socialist Reichstag , in which he represented constituency 15 (East Hanover).

Raecke died as a first lieutenant in the Air Force as a result of combat operations in World War II in an Air Force hospital.
