How We Do (Party) is a song by British singer Rita Ora from 2012. It is the second single from her debut album Ora and the artist's first solo single. How We Do (Party) was produced by and written by The Runners along with Bonnie McKee , Berry Gordy , Hal Davis , Madame Buttons , Willie Hutch , Andre Davidson , Sean Davidson and Bob West , with a recitation of The Notorious BIG and East Harvey Jr. wrote the song Party and Bullshit .

Music and lyrics

In How We Do (Party) is a pop song of the early 2010s years, which is mainly characterized by a catchy chorus. The phrase "and party and bullshit" is repeated at several points in the song, partly by the singer herself, partly by a group of people. There is also a version in which the syllable "shit" is left out. The instrumental consists mainly of gentle guitar playing and drums . In terms of content, the song revolves around the first-person narrator waking up next to the person being sung in the morning after a party . Because of the alcohol consumption on this one, she has a hangover and no longer knows what exactly happened. In the chorus she addresses the sexual attraction she feels for her lover.

The video clip for How We Do (Party) shows Rita Ora dancing at a party at which several people are in costumes or at least unconventionally dressed. They wear Viking helmets , animal masks or pointed hats , among other things . The celebration takes place at different locations and the singer wears different clothes in the scenes. Sometimes the clothes of those present, the decoration and various spilled liquids are fluorescent . In between, the musician can also be seen alone in several settings, including in a flower bed , on a lawn or on a bed in a bluish silver-colored room. An exuberant, positive mood runs through the entire video.

How We Do (Party) received mixed to positive reviews. It was felt that while the song was not reinventing the wheel and stylistically resembled other successful chart hits of the time, including Domino by Jessie J and Last Friday Night (TGIF) by Katy Perry , it was noted that it was still carefully crafted and entertaining pop music represent. Its suitability as a party song was highlighted, and it was predicted that in the years after its release it would find more use in television series during party scenes.
