Hubert Haß (born January 30, 1949 in Holzkirchen ) is a retired German Rear Admiral . D.

Military career

Haß joined the Bundeswehr in 1968 and completed his officer training with Crew X / 68 . After initial employment in the Schnellbootflotille and a use as a torpedo officer on the training ship "Deutschland" , Haß completed a degree in physics from 1975 to 1978 at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey (California) .

Between 1983 and 1996 he held various leadership positions in the fleet command and in the Schnellbootflotille , of which he was commander from 1993 to 1996. After that, Haß was transferred to the Federal Ministry of Defense . Until 1999 he served there as head of division in the naval command and as office manager for Parliamentary State Secretary Walter Kolbow . From 1999 to 2002 Haß was a defense attaché at the German Embassy in London . He then served until 2006 as the Deputy Head of the Naval Office . From June 1, 2006, Haß served as Chief of Staff of the Maritime Component Command Northwood (CC-MAR NORTHWOOD) of NATO in the United Kingdom . Haß retired on October 1, 2009.
