The Huntington Center is a multi-purpose arena in the US city of Toledo in the state of Ohio .
history
The hall opened on October 3, 2009 after two years of construction under the name Lucas County Arena . The construction costs amounted to 105 million US dollars . It replaced the Toledo Sports Arena from 1947. The sports arena is owned by Lucas County ; The operator is SMG. A maximum of 9,341 visitors can be seated in the arena for concerts. There are 8,000 seats for basketball games and 7,389 for ice hockey games (8,200 seats are available with standing room). In April 2010, Huntington Bancshares Inc. bought the naming rights to the venue for $ 2.1 million over six years. In total, the multi-option contract could raise $ 11 million.
So far the only permanent user is the ECHL ice hockey team of the Toledo Walleye . The Toledo Bullfrogs arena football team was scheduled to play in the Af2 in 2009 at the Lucas County Arena, but the league stopped playing. Other events in the arena include a.
