The CAA Center is a multi-purpose hall in the Canadian city of Brampton in the province of Ontario . 1.2 million people visit the event complex every year.
history
The arena, inaugurated in September 1998, will u. a. used as an event venue for sports , concerts , culture , graduation ceremonies or trade fairs . Located on Kennedy Road in the south of the city, near the intersection of Highway 407 and Highway 410 . It is one of the most popular arenas in the Greater Toronto Area . There are a total of four ice rinks in NHL format. The Spectator Bowl is equipped with 5000 seats and a 250-seat restaurant. There are also 27 luxury suites with TVs, refrigerators and ordering and delivery services for food and drinks. In addition, the CAA Center now houses the Brampton Sports Hall of Fame, founded in 1979, and a sporting goods store. The building complex also includes five baseball fields , three cricket fields , a rugby field , a ball hockey field and a paintball field .
From 1998 to 2013, was ice hockey team of the Brampton Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League based in the CAA Center before to North Bay relocated. The hall has been the home ground of the Brampton Beasts from the East Coast Hockey League since 2013 . Furthermore, other ice hockey and various lacrosse teams used the sports facility. From 2013 to 2015, the Brampton A’s from the National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada) were based in Brampton before being relocated to Orangeville . The Canada Kabaddi World Cup Kabaddi tournament is held annually in the CAA Center.
Until 2005 it was called the Brampton Center for Sports and Entertainment . Then Coca-Cola Canada took over the sponsorship and the arena was named for the sports drink Powerade . In 2015, the contract with Coca-Cola Canada expired, but the arena continued to bear its name. In March 2018, the Thornhill- based Canadian Automobile Association and the operator Realstar Group signed a ten-year sponsorship agreement.
