IC 3778 is a spiral radio galaxy of the Hubble type S in the constellation Hounds in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 449 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 3758 , IC 3783 , IC 3795 , IC 3808 .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 21, 1903 .
