IC 4158 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Hounds in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 311 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 21, 1903 .
