IC 4166 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Hounds in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 486 million light years from the Milky Way and about 130,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on June 26, 1903 .
