IC 4181 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type S in the constellation Coma Berenices the northern sky . It is estimated to be 889 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 100,000 ly. A gravitational bond with IC 4183 is possible .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on January 27, 1904 .
